Mentoring success story
A young person struggling with confidence and attainment was paired with a mentor who shared their lived experience.
Outcome
Improved grades by two levels, secured a college place, and now mentors younger students through our youth leadership scheme.
Community assembly impact
Our monthly assemblies convened residents, local authorities, and organisations to address youth safety and opportunity.
Outcome
Youth violence incidents reduced by 40%, new youth support groups launched, and safer community routes created.
Creative health programme
Artists, clinicians, and therapists delivered a residency combining dance, storytelling, and peer support for young people.

75% of participants reported improved mental health and created ongoing peer-led wellbeing circles.
Local action partnership
In partnership with Southwark Council we co-designed interventions tackling educational inequality and youth unemployment.

The Black Society founded
Started as a grassroots initiative in Southwark to centre Black community leadership.
First mentoring cohort
Launched Same As Me Foundation and matched our first 60 young people with mentors.

Delivered multidisciplinary residencies and reached 200 mentoring matches.
